JCM Motorsports takes Spencer Hughes to Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
Checking in on Wednesday afternoon, Spencer Hughes unloaded the JCM Motorsports No. 19 Rocket XR1 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 30th-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
With Mother Nature wiping out Wednesday's FloRacing Night in America event, Hughes watched from the sidelines on Thursday as he was slated to participate in Friday's preliminary activities.
Hughes qualified fifth-quickest in his group on Friday, but fell backwards quickly in his heat race which relegated him to a last chance showdown. Transferring to the preliminary feature, Spencer completed all 50 laps and finished 17th.
Rolling off fifth in a heat race on Saturday, Hughes didn't make up or lose any spots which placed him a B-Main. Needing a Top-2 showing to make the main event, Spencer finished just short with a fifth-place finish.
