JCM Motorsports grab pair of Top-10 finishes in Firecracker 100 prelims
Making the long haul to The Keystone State, Spencer Hughes and the JCM Motorsports team joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Thursday afternoon at Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) for the Firecracker 100.
Missing the setup in qualifying on night one, Hughes rallied in his heat race and started 10th in the $5,000-to-win prelim. Moving forward two more positions in 25 laps, Spencer recorded a Top-10 finish in eighth.
For another $5,000-to-win preliminary night, Spencer recorded another Top-10 outing with a 10th-place finish.
For Saturday's $50,000-to-win main event, Hughes earned his spot in the Firecracker 100 by winning his B-Main. Starting 19th in the 100 lapper, Spencer was a early retire on lap 11.
